Free People Military Discount and Promo Codes October 2026

About Free People

Dick Hayne founded Free People, a clothing boutique that supported young people looking for freedom, in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the 1970s. The name was changed to Urban Outfitters as the store expanded. Dick's wife, Meg, assumed control of Urban's private label business, which promoted items that were only available at Urban Outfitters.
